Install Loupe

Loupe runs as a desktop app on Windows and macOS. Installing takes a couple of minutes.

Before you start

You need a Loupe account. Either you've been invited to an existing Loupe organization, or an administrator in your company has set one up. If your company doesn't use Loupe yet, reach out.

Download

Pick the version for your computer:

• Windows: Download LoupeSetup.exe
• macOS (Apple Silicon): Download Loupe.dmg
• macOS (Intel): Download Loupe.dmg

Not sure which Mac you have? Open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. If the chip is listed as Apple M1 or later, use the Apple Silicon download.

Linux is not supported.

Install

On Windows

Double-click the downloaded LoupeSetup.exe and follow the installer. Loupe is code signed, so Windows should not warn about an unknown publisher.

On macOS

Open the downloaded Loupe.dmg and drag Loupe into your Applications folder. The app is signed and notarized by Beredo AB.

Sign in to Loupe

Open Loupe and click the sign-in button. Loupe uses your Microsoft work account, so there is no separate Loupe password. If you've been added to a Loupe organization you immediately have access.

If you see the message "You don't seem to be a member of any Loupe organizations", your company either hasn't set up Loupe yet or hasn't added you. Ask your Loupe administrator to add you under Settings → User management, or contact us.

Updates

Loupe updates itself. It checks for a new version when it starts and regularly while it runs. When an update has been downloaded, a dialog asks you to Restart now or Later. You can also check manually from the Help menu with Check for updates.
